False Lash FAQs
Application & Removal
-
Before getting started, you’ll need strip lash glue, some scissors and your strip lash applicator or tweezers.
- Measure the lash against your eye, resting it against the lash line to see where you may need to trim for a better fit. Pinch the lash where you need to cut and trim from the outer edge.
- Apply a thin layer of lash glue along the lash band and wait 40-50 seconds, allowing the glue to get tacky.
- Position the lashes into place, sticking the lash onto the skin just above your natural lashes, using either the lash applicator, tweezers or fingers.
- When your happy with its placement, gently press into place and continue to press down until the false lash feels secure across the whole lash line.
Top tip: use eyeliner to correct any gaps to ensure a seamless blend.

Removing false lashes is a delicate process to ensure that you don’t harm your natural lashes or the delicate skin above your lash line. You also don’t want to damage the false lash itself by pulling too hard.
Before you get started, you will need a pair of tweezers (angled if possible), adhesive remover or oil-based make-up remover.
To remove:
- Soak a cotton pad in adhesive remover or oil-based make-up remover, hold it over closed eyelids for a few seconds to loosen the glue.
- Using your fingers or tweezers, gently lift the lash band away from your lash line, starting from the outer corner and working inwards (use fingers or tweezers).
- Once the lashes are removed, you can start the false lash cleaning process to remove any excess lash glue, make-up and dirt.
-
Cleaning false lashes is an important step to keeping them lasting for up to 20 wears.
Before you get started, you will need your strip lash cleanser, a pair of tweezers (angled if possible) and a mascara wand.
To clean:
- Place your lashes in the lid of cleanser bottle and fill the lid with enough cleanser to cover the lashes.
- Soak for 15 minutes
- Remove your lashes from the cleanser and gently pull away any remaining lash glue.
- Leave to dry, brushing your lashes through with a clean mascara wand to bring back the 3D layered fluffiness.

You can get your false lashes wet! However, while they're partially resistant to water, it's important to treat them with care to maintain their style. Simply avoid soaking them or wearing them in the shower or while swimming. Here's why:
- Your false lashes are designed to withstand some water exposure, but they're not entirely waterproof. By being mindful of not overexposing them to water, you'll help maintain their durability and keep them looking fluffy for longer.
- Excessive water can weaken the lash glue, potentially causing your lashes to come loose. By minimising water exposure, you're ensuring a secure hold and prolonging the life of your lashes.
- Keeping your false lashes away from excessive water also helps preserve their shape and alignment. This means easier reapplication and a consistently flawless look every time you wear them.
Remember, a little care goes a long way in maintaining the longevity of your false lashes. So feel free to enjoy some splashes, but keep those lashes dry for their best performance!

For best results, try applying mascara to your natural lashes for a seamless blend with your false lashes.
When it comes applying mascara directly to the false lashes, you should this as it can shorten their lifespan and cause them to clump together. If you prefer a more dramatic look, consider choosing false lashes that already have a thicker or darker appearance.

With false lashes, it’s all about how you apply and remove them that ensures you do not damage your natural lashes. If you mistakenly apply them directly onto your natural lashes instead of above the lash line, there’s a risk of accidently pulling your lashes out when removing your false lashes. Be gentle and mindful with the application process, and your natural lashes will thank you!
