Enter Lash Festival 2014

Enter the Lash Festival 2014 Eyelash Extension Competition in Association with The Salon Magazine.

Last year's competition was the World's biggest competition of it's type with over 600 entries from 52 countries. This year Lash Festival has raised the bar with 3 separate categories; World Individual Lash Master, World Volume Lash Master and The Salon Magazine Lash Student of the Year. Europe's premier professional beauty magazine 'The Salon' has joined us to help promote the art of eyelash extension and they will be running feature articles on the winners. There are some great prizes including Glamcor lighting kits, xD Russian Volume training, lash products and other goodies.

Lash Festival is open to all trained Lash Artists around the World. It doesn't matter who you trained with or whose products you use. Lash Festival is all about promoting your skill and artistry to benefit all of us providing a safe and sustainable treatment. Let's show the World that it's not only bad lashes that can make the news!

This year, the 1st round of Lash Festival has been extended until 14th December to allow plenty of time to collect your best work and post it on the competition page. Select your photographs carefully and only upload your best work, we are looking for quality, not quantity. Too many pictures may dilute your votes and count against you. You can submit collages if the details are still clear but avoid photoshopping your entries. If we detect that the pictures have been unfairly enhanced, they will be excluded. Take care to post your pictures in the correct category; Individual, Volume or Student (if you qualified after Jan 1st 2014). 'Before' pictures will improve your chances of progressing to the final. You are invited to put your salon or business name on your entries so that you can get exposure but please don't post other suppliers names, we've made the competition open for all, but that would be too rude

The top 20 contestants in each category will be selected both by public votes and an international panel of judges to ensure that the final round is truly world class. If you're selected, you'll really deserve it, you'll get a certificate as a finalist and valuable publicity for your talent.

The judges will be looking at design, distribution, alignment, separation, use of glue, suitability of the length and thickness of lashes used and above all, safe application. Not ensuring adequate safety distance, bonding across several lashes or apparent eye irritation would exclude an entry from the final round.

Throughout the competition, the judges will occasionally select pictures for promotion by tweets, pins, posts and publishing onto galleries. This is not a guarantee of success but may help votes in the contest and help to raise the profile of selected contestants. We want the world to see the great work that you are doing.

Our Judges for this year's contest are some of the leading lights in world lashes, both as Lash Artists and Trainers they have influenced countless lashers around the World.

They are; Ana Santiago Garcia of 3D Eyes in Madrid, Aspasia Koutsogiannaki of Lashionista in Greece, Jaimee Trio the Kiwi Lash Master now in Melbourne, Australia, former Lash Festival winner Donna Nadin. This stellar lineup will certainly know a good set of lashes when they see it.
