When should I get lash infills?
A full of set of lashes can look great for a couple of weeks, but naturally lashes will start to shed. Everyone’s eyelashes fall out at different intervals, but on average we lose around 42-70 lashes a fortnight. So, when you start to see gaps in your lashes, what do you do? Well, you can either get a lash infill or you can get a whole new set of lashes.
As eyelash extensions are bonded to the natural lash, we recommend lash infills are carried out every 2-3 weeks to keep the set of eyelash extensions looking full. By this time, the new lashes which were too short to apply extensions to when you last had your lashes done will now be a healthy lash.
If you wait too long before having an infill it is likely that you will need a new set of lashes. A sparse set of extensions, will of course require more time from your lash artist to make your lashes a lovely full set again.
Infills generally take around 30-45 minutes and are less expensive than a new set of eyelash extensions. Lash artists will only do an infill if you’ve looked after your lashes. This means you need to follow your aftercare instructions, keep your lashes clean and use oil free eye make-up remover. Our Lash Cleansing Set is the perfect pairing of items to help you maintain your semi-permanent eyelash extensions in between infills.
